2009 has been a good year for Nike’s popular Air Max 95 model. After seeing a handful of re-releases in some of its most adored colorways, (’Neon’, ‘Freshwater’, ‘Chili’, and ‘Safety Orange’), we didn’t expect to see more of Nike’s mid-nineties staple any time soon. Fortunately for us, the shoe will continue to see the light of day, taking on its popular “Comet” and “Slate” colorways for a new set of releases. No word on any specific release dates, but both models are expected to drop sometime in 2010.

We have recently gotten a preview of a plethora of sneakers Nike plans to release next summer, most notably two pairs of the Nike Air Griffey Max GD II and Nike Air Penny III. Another sneaker slated to release again is the Nike Air Hoop Structure- but in a low-cut model. As with most of the 2010 releases we’ve gotten word of, there are at least two colorways of these set to drop. One colorway has a predominantly white base with red and black accents, while the other sports the same base with black and light blue accents and an orange Nike check. The Summer of 2010 promises an array of low-cut models of sneakers that sold pretty well this year- all that stands to be seen is how they measure up to the high-top versions.

On top of the handful of Blazer High Velcro colorways scheduled to release next year, Nike will also be unleashing a trio of solid summertime Blazer High models. Featuring two clean colorways of Navy/Red/White and White/Red, the collection is capped off with a rather unusual Metallic/Textile model. Although the geometric print and strange splitting of the upper is a bit unorthodox for a shoe with such ‘classic’ appeal, the flashy two-tone sneaker is sure to turn heads. Look for all three Blazer High colorways — along with their Velcro counterparts — to hit Nike retailers in the Summer of 2010.

NikeAM1ND1

The 2009 holiday season is shaping up to be a big one- due in large part to a number of highly sought after Jordan releases. As always, Nike’s trying to do its part to make a splash with other sneakers as well. The Nike Air Max 1 ND pictured here comes in a red, white, and black colorway that also sports an upper made out of suede and mesh. Inside, the shoe’s sole has a picture of what seems to be a cartoon gopher; which, if nothing else, serves as an added touch to separate this Nike Air Max 1 from others. As we mentioned, expect these to drop later this year during the holiday season.

SupraDuctTape1

The Supra brand has been on an absolute tear in recent years with the rise to prominence of a number of its sneaker models. Supra also knows how to come up with exclusive, drool-inducing releases- as evidenced by the Karmaloop Skytop. Supra is now revving up for the release of a Skytop, Skylow, and Vaider all sporting duct tape material. Although it might sound messy and sticky at first, all three of these Supra models actually look rather clean and worthy of praise for the seamless incorporation of duct tape material. Reminiscent of black leather- even patent at certain angles- these three Supra Duct Tape sneakers are yet another treat from the up-and-coming skateboarding shoe company. Certain online retailers are in line to receive these rather soon, so check in with your local Supra retailers for more information in the coming weeks as well.
