Air Jordan IX (9) Player Exclusive – Marcus Jordan

Most people brag about the kind of “heat” and nobody likes to brag about what they have better than Bow Wow and Marcus Jordan who have gone back and forth through videos showcasing their prized possessions, but its kind of hard competing with MJ’s son who displayed this Player Exclusive Air Jordan IX (9) in one of his videos. Marcus’ Air Jordan IX is composed of the typical black and yellow combination that he frequently uses to design his PE’s. In addition, Marcus’ number, 5 is stitched at the back of the sneaker also in yellow. This pair of Air Jordan IXs won’t be dropping in stores anytime soon, but you can find a pair now on the ‘Bay.

Air Jordan Fusion IX (9) – White / Black – University Blue

We initially previewed the Air Jordan Fusion IX (9) earlier this year, and we are now getting our first look at the White/Black-University Blue colorway of the AJF9. This colorway obviously takes inspiration from the Powder Blue Air Jordan IX (9) and features a white leather upper accented by a university blue midsole, black laces, and a black tongue. The Air Force One (1) components of the sneaker are visible through the midsole, outsole, and lacetag. The tongue tag reads “The Best of Both Worlds” on the inside and “AJF Jordan” on the outside. Air Jordan Original – OG 9 (IX) Black – Dark Charcoal – True Red

As we most know, the Original Air Jordan 9 (IX) was not worn by Michael Jordan, but the Air Jordan Original 9 (IX) Black / Red was a nice addition to ones collection. The Color scheme on the Air Jordan OG 9 (IX) is Black – Dark Charcoal – True Red.

The first and popular Air Jordan Original 9 (IX) White – Black – True Red released November 1993, and sadly Michael Jordan retired before he could wear the Air Jordan OG 9 (IX) White, Black, Red or any other OG Jordan 9.

Although Jordan did not wear the Air Jordan Original 9 (IX) White – Black – True Red other famous people did, like Tupac Shakur and later Eminem. Retail was $125, but nowadays you will have to fork out $300 plus.

Air Jordan 9 (IX)

Air Jordan IX – Air Jordan 9

Tinker was really influenced by Japanese design. There is a lot of features on the shoe that you may not know which came from the Japanese culture.

Here is a comment from Tinker on the Air Jordan IX:

“The Air Jordan IX represented the globalization of the Air Jordan brand name. Everybody around the world wanted to be like Mike. Take a close look at the soles of the shoes, we designed the different languages around the world that describes the sporting spirit of Michael Jordan and what he has done for the world of sports.”

On the back of the Air Jordan 9 you will see a “Rising Sun” with the Jumpman logo. On the shoe it self there are words in different languages that best represents Michael Jordan.

When asked what shoe should be on the statue of Michael Jordan in front of the United Center in Chicago, Tinker said the Air Jordan IX, because the shoe represented MJ being a “global superstar”. The Jordan 9 came equipped with dynamic-Fit inner bootie, encapsulated Air-Sole unit (forefoot), large volume Air-Sole unit (heel), polyurethane midsole and “one-pull” lacing system.

The first model of the Air Jordan 9 released in 1993, and a total of four models came out that year. In 2002 four more Air Jordan IX were released, and the set price was $125.00. Two models released of the Air Jordan IX lows selling for $115.00. In 2002-2003 an Air Jordan IX Cleat was made (they came in Metal cleats and MCS 3/4).
